Even though they are omnivores, their main food is fruit, especially durian which is their favorite. Apart from fruit, they also eat leaves, bark, insects, and sometimes bird eggs. Orangutans are large primates originating from tropical rainforests in Sumatra and Kalimantan. They have a stocky body with long arms, much longer than their legs, which helps them move easily between trees. Their hair is red-brown and quite long, providing protection from the weather in their habitat.
This creature is known as one of the most intelligent primates. They are able to use simple tools, such as twigs to grab food or leaves as protection from the rain. Their lives are mostly spent in trees, where they build nests from leaves to rest every night.
